  • Coralbark Educational Resources: Free programs for use in teaching of photosynthesis, half-life, and more. Jon Levell
  • Eduware: Site offers free demo download of the wizard test maker containing over 15,000 science questions. William Stevens
  • Energy Conversion Software, Online Calculators and Slide Shows: One-stop source for energy conversion systems (power and propulsion) software, slide shows, online calculators, textbooks, educational and consulting services. Engineering Software (EngWare)
  • freeCAD: 3D CAD with Motion Simulation: What is 'freeCAD'? 'freeCAD' is a basic 3D CAD with advanced Motion Simulation capabilities. It is suitable for anyone interested in learning for free before upgrading to commercial packages. Educators, students, and new engineers will find it ideal for the teaching and learning of geometry, kinematics, dynamics, vibrations, mechanisms, cams, machine design, and physics. The program runs on Windows, Macintosh PPC, Linux PC and other Unix's. It is a FREEWARE which is sponsor supported. Releases will be made quarterly. Aik-Siong Koh

  • Thinkwave For Teachers, Students, and Parents: ThinkWave Educator Express: a free gradebook with e-mail capabilities, allowing teachers to automatically e-mail reports to students and parents. ThinkWave
  • Time4teachers: Time4teachers has been developed as a time-saving resource for teachers. The product is a compact disc (CD-ROM) containing over 400 Language Arts blackline masters. (In real terms it represents the equivelent of a 3" binder of blackline materials.) Included is a comment box on each blackline master, which contains teacher notes for the suggested use of the individual blackline master. In addition the CD contains all-purpose items such as evaluation templates and classroom management tools like nametags, desk strips, and borders. These materials are easily adapted to all grade levels. However, teachers of grades 2-7 will probably find the most use for the materials. Karscot Distributors / Fun Zone
Voyages Through Time: VTT is a new and unique one-year integrated high school science curriculum currently under development by the SETI institute and partners. Built on the theme of evolutionary change and delivered on CD-ROM, it provides technology-enhanced inquiry approaches to the study of Cosmic Evolution, Planetary Evolution, The Origin of Life, Evolution of Life, Hominid Evolution, and The Evolution of Technology. Student and teacher materials are published as six modules on CD-ROMs with printed readers. VTT is designed as a one-year 9th or 10th grade integrated curriculum, but individual modules may also be used in discipline-based science courses such as earth and space science, life science or biology, and technology classes. SETI Institute
